The Red Fort, Agra, India
First mentioned in about 1081, the fort was captured by the Mughals. Many of the buildings inside the walls were built by Shah Jahan when Agra was an Imperial City. The Fort once was home to the Koh-i-Noor diamond and the Peacock Throne before they were seized by Shah Abbass of Persia.
