The Flaminio Obelisk on Piazza Del Popolo, Rome
The obelisk, which was brought to Rome from Egypt by Augustus, once stood on the Circo Massimo. North of the obelisk is Porta del Popolo, one of the gates to the city of Rome in ancient times.
